  • Mark Dapin has written for a variety of publications including The Australian Financial Review; Meanjin; Ralph magazine, where he was editor-in-chief;and Good Weekend. He studied journalism at UTS, taught courses at the University of Sydney, and is a PhD candidate at the Australian Defence Force Academy.

    Mark’s novel King of the Cross won the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction. Spirit House was long-listed for the Miles Franklin Literary Award and shortlisted for the Age Book of the Year and the Royal Society for Literature’s Ondaatje Prize. His work of military history, The Nashos’ War, about Australian National Servicemen in Vietnam, is widely acclaimed. 

    R&R is a Vietnam War story about two Military Police ― a portrait of men and war in the twilight zone behind the front, and a searing study of the violence that we do to others, and ourselves.
