Paul Hetherington is Professor of Writing at the University of Canberra. He has published ten collections of poetry, most recently Burnt Umber (UWAP, 2016). He won the 2014 Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards (poetry) and recently returned from an Australia Council residency in the BR Whiting Studio in Rome. He was a finalist in the 2014 Aesthetica creative writing competition and shortlisted for the 2013 Montreal International Poetry Prize. He has served on the boards of a variety of literary and cultural organisations and judged various poetry prizes. He is a founding editor of the online journal Axon: Creative.
